Well i went and saw it on a DLP projector to hlep with the visuals and i was presented with a movie that was ok nothing special but i didnt expect a whole lot going in i love the books at least the first two they are the only ones ive read so far the humor was there but i felt like they rushed the movie and that somthing wasnt quite feeling right but over all not to bad i give it 6.5 out of a 10

Well from a person who has yet to read the books:
I found the movie very confusing. I was saying WTF a lot during the movie, but it seemed to keep me interested till the end. I never really felt bored during the movie. I found a decent amount of the film to have some humor to it, but maybe that's because I didn't read the book (again slacker..sorry). I would reccommend seeing the movie, I enjoyed it. Although Dan said they left a lot out of the movie that was in the book. So now Paul's going to have to go read the book.

I know what you mean
I was scratching my head when I paid $19.50 for 2 tickets... don't think I ever paid that much at any theater...

The Problem being that all of the hgttg mediums were meant to be diffent. Douglas adams enjoyed changing his charectores and plot points around as you can see from the radio show to the book to the tv to the big screen i foudn the movie rather good but dont think it should be compared to the book but rather a seprate entity of the same idea
