Everyone in "Ian in Communism Land" is based on a real person, effectively making this comic a documentary!

Date of Birth:
7 July 1983

Date of Death:
16 March 2072

If any one man was born to fight communists on their own ground it was Ian Malcolm. The acclaimed freedom fighter made a name for himself when he first fought the reanimated and robotized Joseph Stalin in the year 2000. Stalin was vanquished and Malcolm was victorious, thanks in part to his mighty Commie Stick.

One day in early 2004 Malcolm decided to visit a garage sale where he found a transdimensional gateway. Attempting to make some toast, he fell through the vortex, arriving in Communism Land, where once again Stalin threatens universal harmony.

Oh yeah, he's also sort of Canadian.

Date of Birth:
21 December 1879

Date of Death:
5 March 1953

Joseph Stalin played a first-hand role in the creation of the Soviet Union. As a member of the Bolshevik revolutionaries, he took part in overthrowing the Russian autocracy in October 1917. Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the revolution, was able to become the first ruler of the new nation.

Lenin's death in 1924 allowed Stalin to assume power. Under Stalin's regime the Soviet Union rose to a major world power, aided by his five-year plans (of economy) and collective farming, to build the nation agriculturally. He also led his nation through World War II, fending off Nazi Germany on more than one occasion. Unfortunately, this all seems naught when one considers the millions of people killed during his Great Purges.

Stalin died in 1953, allowing Nikita Khrushchev to come to power. Revived by Soviet scientists in 1986, Stalin was outfitted with a giant mechanical body. It was in this form that he fought Ian Malcolm in the year 2000, a battle he lost, but his head was able to rocket to safety. A replacement body was constructed and Stalin continues to plot for his return to power.

Date of Birth:
17 April 1894

Date of Death:
11 September 1971

A power struggle ensued after Stalin's death which ended with Nikata Khrushchev becoming General Secretary of the Soviet Union in 1953, and finally Premier in 1958. He spent much of his early years in office forcing the practice of destalinization, the denunciation of Stalin, whom Khrushchev detested.

Khrushchev was known for his hot temperament, which involved him throwing fits, yelling, and interrupting even the most prominent of people. Khrushchev's boldest move came in October 1962 with the installation of ballistic missile sites in Cuba and Soviet submarines operating off the American coast during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Gaining unpopularity, Khrushchev was removed from office.

Khrushchev died in 1971. Thirty-one years later in 2002, Ian Malcolm oversaw Khrushchev's revival and robotization in an effort to finish off Stalin once and for all.
