Robocop & Gingerbread
Monday 23 July 2007

Josh, Charles, Dan, Felicity, and Phil got together to have a marathon of the three Robocop movies. Over the course of the evening, Charles and Phil constructed a gingerbread house that Charles had purchased well over a year ago. I think we all learned a lesson today about how disgusting a gingerbread house can be.

I have taken so long to get this gallery online that we have since totally remodeled the basement. It is now much more hospitable.

While watching Robocop Charles and Phil came upon the idea of building a gingerbread house. Charles asked for a bowl of water, which was a bit more than he actually needed.

Dan points out quite correctly that these guys are gingerbread amateurs and are in way over their head on this one.

Adding the frosting mix. It's times like these that some sort of coffee table would have come in handy.

Dan samples a handful of frosting. It was not the delicious treat that he hoped for.

Felicity tries the frosting. As you can see she had second thoughts about this decision.

Phil too was not altogether impressed by the frosting cement.

Charles makes a mess. Let it be known that the house was frosted by Charles' crotch.

Phil didn't learn his lesson and raises the ante.

The frosting is ready and construction begins. Phil applies the frosting to the edges of the house to cement the thing together.

All the walls are up. Now for the roof.

Construction of the house is complete! Good job, lads. You've made us all proud.

The decorating begins as the boys bedazzle their new home with colored candies.

Lest anyone suspect that we weren't actually watching the movies.

And yes, Phil is trying to attach his phone to the roof.

I mean, let's face it. Robocop 3 isn't the most interesting of the trilogy.

Remember the old broken couch where you sank down into its frame? Yeah, I'm glad we finally replaced that one.

A Charles armed with a leafblower is not a man with whom you ought to mess. Trust me on this one.

We finished the Robocop trilogy and turned to a couple of episodes of Pete and Pete.

Dan's in his heaven -- all's well with the world.

Suffering from the nagging pains of hunger, Phil nibbles on a corner of the gingerbread house.

The boys strike a Captain Morgan theme except for Josh, who does not condone this sort of behavior.

Nourishment was required and a mission to Meijer was launched. The objective: to acquire frozen pizzas.

In this we were successful.

Josh poses with the vast array of frozen pizzas that Meijer had to offer.

Meanwhile, Phil makes another jump in Space-Time.

Dan waits patiently for the pizzas to bake. He hasn't got time for this. He's a busy man.

The product of the day's labors: the gingerbread house from the front.

The back of the house.

Anybody remember what the "B" was for?

His nibbling can be seen in the lower-left corner.
