Josh, Charles, and Laura got together for a movie day that was intended to be dedicated to watching Christmas-themed movies but in the end only included one such film.

We began with an oddity from Laura called Beating the Bunny (dir. Carl Obremski, 2005), which was a Christian anti-masturbation propaganda film wherein a young man is encouraged to adopt a lifetime of sexual repression and the use of gun-toting violence to punish pornographic deviants. Words cannot express this movie.

To wash the sour taste out of our filthy mouths we turned to Lethal Weapon (dir. Richard Donner, 1987), which is set over Christmas, and then Dark Star (dir. John Carpenter, 1974), which is not. The latter was in honor of Dan O'Bannon, who had died two days before.

Penciled in for Saturday, December 19.

Holiday Movie Day is dependent on the Zoo outing proceeding as planned the previous weekend. Should weather not permit going to the Zoo on the 12th then that event will slip to the 19th and Holiday Movie Day will be bumped off the schedule.
