Laura, Charles, and Felicity joined me for random movies. We wound up watching the ridiculous Mask of Zorro (dir. Martin Campbell, 1998). Laura departed after this to find more sensible pastures where people do not surf on shovels, ride two horses at a time, and undress others with swords. Or maybe it was because I insisted on watching a musical number from Evita, in which Antonio Banderas, star of Zorro, played Che. Either way, I blame myself.

Next, the remaining three of us watched the original War of the Worlds (dir. Byron Haskin, 1953). This motivated us to make an excursion to Charles' house for Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie (dir. Jim Mallon, 1996), which Felicity kept dozing off throughout.
