Alien and Predator. Two films that, under normal circumstances, would never have crossed over into one another's universe. They wouldn't have, if a set decorator on Predator 2 had not snuck an alien xenomorph's skull into a trophy wall on the Predator spacecraft as a joke. After that the fanbase took over and the two series have become increasingly more intertwined ever since.

This will be a two-part marathon. Day I will be Saturday, June 24 and will feature the four films of the Alien series. Day II will be Saturday, July 31 and will focus on the two Predator movies as well as the two Alien vs. Predator films. Start time for both days is at 3:00 PM.

Here is the schedule:

DAY I : Saturday, July 24 - Alien
Alien (1979) - 137 min.
Aliens (1986) - 154 min.
Alien³ (1992) - 145 min.
Alien Resurrection (1997) - 116 min.

DAY II : Saturday, July 31 - Predator & AvP
Predator (1987) - 107 min.
Predator 2 (1990) - 108 min.
Alien vs. Predator (2004) - 100 min.
Alien vs. Predator: Requiem (2007) - 104 min.

Note that Day I clocks in at 581 minutes (9.6 hours) and Day II at 419 minutes (6.9 hours). The marathon will be a game of attrition, watching as much of each series on the given day as deemed necessary. The goal is to at least see the first two films of each. If the later movies on each day are left out then too bad for them. We can always return to them another time.
