Jeff's Measuring Thing

Date: 15 December 2003.
Medium: Pen & ink on wood (2x4).

Jeff was in the process of trying to build walls in his basement when we invented this specialized tool. Knowing how far apart the studs needed to be placed, this ingenious device allows the user to insert a premeasured spacer to keep the beams level.

Jeff cut the board and I brought it home to illustrate "Jeff Osthimer's Patented Scientific Measuring Thing!," complete with a portrait of Jeff in a flannel shirt.

The original copy of this was given to Jeff, so it was not available to be scanned in a higher resolution.
